- Lytton Springs Resort, a health and pleasure resort, built by William Litton in 1875 on 1000 acres; photo shows hotel building; features included mineral and freshwater springs, tennis courts and picnic grounds; later became a military academy and in 1904 a Salvation Army Orphanage.
