Description

Biographical or Historical Note

The "Majestic" Bar, originally located at 16225 Main Street, Guerneville, California, moved across the street (back bar, too) and became the Louvre's back bar. The Louvre bar itself was built after the devastating 1894 fire. Bill Nolan (on right) was proprietor of both the Majestic and and the Louvre. Later business at that address include Beachman's, Laura's, The River Rendezvous, and Lolitas (in 1996). The bartender in the center was the uncle of Charlie Wong. Wong later built his own bar and restaurant on the site the Russian River Senior Center later occupied at the corner of Watson Road and Armstrong Woods Road.
