Creator Note

John Clark Lindsay was born in Scotland in 1852 and immigrated to the United States in 1870. He became a carpenter and after working in various northern California locales and on Vancouver Island, B.C., he moved with his family to Santa Rosa, Calif., where he became a prominent and prolific builder. His first and most notable project was the Fountaingrove Round Barn, later listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Lindsay died in 1927
