- Text beneath the photograph reads: The creosoted 30-35 ft piles under the new 30' x 50' wharf are being capped with 12 x 12 Douglas Fir timbers. (The Palo Alto can be seen dredging out the Petaluma River so that larger boats may dock at the wharf. Dredging paid for by the Federal Government). (Nov. 10, 1937)
