Biographical or Historical Note

The Comstock House is also associated with James Wyatt Oates who had it designed by Brainerd Jones in 1905. He and his wife lived in the house until 1916. Nellie Hurd Comstock bought the house. For more information see the Sonoma historian, 2006, no. 4.
