Description

Shows Cerletti/Buchanan House on blocks with shingles torn off and the soffit over the porch hanging down. The house is tilted up to the left.

Biographical or Historical Note

The house was associated with the Cerletti family, and later the Buchanan family. Picture was taken just prior to the house being demolished to make way for a residential development called Twin Creeks. Early 20th century farmhouse for a former chicken ranch associated Lorenzo and Angelinia Cerletti (1913-1944), and Robert and Mary Buchanan (1944-1989). The property was evaluated within the the context of Petaluma poultry industry, but did not appear eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places because of deteriorated condition and removal of key architectural elements.
