Biographical or Historical Note

Captain William Henry Goodwin (1844-1926) was born in England and a captain of an ocean liner out of Vallejo, Solano County, California. He was the caretaker of the Duck Club of Petaluma from 1920 to 1925. He died of pneumonia and his ashes were scattered on the Petaluma River.
