- Description
- Photo--color: The Chenoweth Sawmill on Green Valley Road. In operation from 1952 to 1963 the sawmill was located on the Chenoweth Ranch. "Chenoweth's mill is not in operation as young Mike Lane stands between the rollers that the log carriage slides down. Bud Chenoweth bought the parts for his mill at the old Friedman Brothers store in Petaluma, along the Petaluma River. It was not uncommon for ranches to have their own mill. " Caption taken from Lesa Tanner book "Graton."
