- Description
- Photo black and white: Burbank cottage in disrepair with boarded doors and windows before restoration. Paved road in front is part of Burbank Heights Seniors housing. Burbank lived in Santa Rosa but used this cottage in Sebastopol as an office and workshop where the botanist kept detailed records of his extensive plant experiments on his 18 acre farm which he had purchased in 1885. The cottage was destroyed in the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and was rebuilt by Burbank in 1907.
