- Description
- Photo--black and white: Luther Burbank's cottage on the Gold Ridge Experiment Farm property before restoration. A large tree is growing next to the cottage and the property is overgrown. Windows and doors are boarded up. Burbank lived in Santa Rosa but used this cottage in Sebastopol as an office and workshop where the botanist kept detailed records of his extensive plant experiments. The cottage was destroyed in the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and was rebuilt by Burbank in 1907.
