- Photo--black and white: William Palmer riding a unicycle in about 1939. Resident of Sebastopol, in 1900, then age 13, delivered milk around town on his unicycle. Bill joined the Native Sons of the Golden West in 1905 and performed at events, parades and lodge meetings. Later he moved to Concord, California, where he started a unicycle club in 1945. In 1953 at age 65, he rode his unicycle in President Eisenhower's inaugural parade in Washington, D. C. See related photo object ID 2918.
