Photo--sepia of Sebastopol Airport under construction 1923 by volunteers with tractors and graders. Cnopius Field was the first nationally-recognized California municipal airport north of San Francisco. It was located east of Sebastopol on Sebastopol Avenue behind what is currently the Chevron Station and was on the Cnopius' property.
