- Description
- Photo--black and white: Russell's Auto Stage is parked in front of the Forestville P&SR railroad depot. Forestville was the terminus of the P&SR. Various men are standing by the Forestville sign beside railroad car 51. The Stage transported local passengers as well as vacationers to their summer homes along the Russian River from the Forestville P&SR railroad depot. The P&SR railroad was started by John and George McNear in order to ship fruit from the local farmers to the Petaluma River where it was loaded on to steamer ships for San Francisco. Circa 1910.
