ANNO QUADRAGESIMO NONO GEORGII III. REGIS. CAP. VII. An Aft to prohibit the Dittillation of Spirits from Corn or Grain, in the United Kingdom for a limited Time. [13th March 1809.] WHEREAS the C.ircum fiances under which it was deemed expe¬ dient to prohibit^ the Difiiilation of Spirits from Corn or Grain, ftill cxift ; and it is therefore neccflary to continue the faid Prohibition, for a Time to be limited, and to enable His Majefty, by Proclamation, if He lhall judge it for the Benefit and Advantage of IIis Kingdom, either to terminate or further continue fuch Prohibition for 3 Time to be limited : Be it therefore enacted by the King's moll Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament aflemblcd, and by the Authority of the fame, That from and after the paffing of this Aft, Difiiilation and until and upon the Thirty-firft Day of December Onethoufand eight from Grain hundred and nine, throughout the United Kingdom, no Worts or Wafh inhibited till for Difiiilation lhall be made or brewed from Oats, Barley, or any other ^ec,3x»I8°9» Corn or Grain, or from Malt, Flour, or Bran, or any Mixture with the fame.
