- Photo--black and white: Photo: black and white: Identified by Ralph S. Sturgeon as "logging 50." After 1900--Woods crew or sawmill crew, Jenner, CA. Crew of men are standing and seated in front of rail tracks and cabins or houses in background. The men in the photo are numbered, but only the following are identified: 12: Sam Squibb--boss woods, also built railroad out to loading chute also tram. 13: Pete Alpine. 15: Auther (Arther?) Johnson. 18: Sam Squibb?? or #12 Boss in woods. Built railroad to point where ships were loaded and railroad up into Russian Gulch area where Jenner Mill had timber & was hauled out by steam locomotive. Helped build Jenner sawmill. Far right--man sitting holding hat, smoking pipe. Joe Bayoki. He worked with Jim Holmes- both millrights.
