- Photo, black and white: Aerial photo of the Speas Manufacturing and Distillery plant in Sebastopol at the corners of McKinley and Petaluma Avenue circa 1930's. The Speas plant was built in 1919 by Frank Butler and was subsequently sold to Speas in 1929. The company made and stored vinegar and distilled apple brandy. Painted sign on side of building states "Pen-Jel for making jams and jellies." The four-story square building to the right was converted into the Sebastopol Cinemas in 1993.
