- Photo--sepia, framed: The old Joy sawmill in "Joy's Woods" on Tannery Creek in Bodega 1885 Eight logging steers (four yoke) in front of large roofed saw mill. The men are identified L to R: in shadows- James Swan (Mrs. Joy's brother-in-law), unknown, Nick Fowler, Pete Alpin, Ben Evert (Evertt), Ben Joy (owner of mill and ox [sic] team), James "Jim" Finley (bull driver,"Alfred Layton (Mrs. Joy's son-in-law). On back names of men listed and signed "To Emily Galigher from Annie Joy." Framed by Bruner's Art and Cabinet Shop in Santa Rosa. NOTE: Although the handwritten description on the verso indicates the date as "1902,"the printed version of this photograph states "1885."
