- Description
- Pete Pistochini remembers his stories of the Devil Dogs of Mt. Diablo he told his nieces and nephews--a tale of ferocious beasts that protected the local Native Americans when the Spanish arrived in the 1700s. The name pays tribute to the U.S. Marines who fought in the Battle of Belleau Wood that kept the Germans from taking Paris in World War I. Now his nephew, Scott, is a 3rd generation Marine and can tell the story of the Devil Dogs to his own son.
