Katie Wetzel is the daughter of Margaret Cranford Kirkpatrick Wetzel, her husband, Harry H. Wetzel, Jr., who, with partners Russ and BJ Green, co-founded Alexander Valley Vineyards in 1975, on land once part of Cyrus Alexander's original homestead, which was purchased in 1962 and planted in grapes by the Wetzels and Greens.
