Postcards and greeting cards collected by Nellie Jane Doyle between 1880 and 1915. Nellie Doyle was born in Petaluma, Calif. on June 3, 1857 to Manfred and Mary Evelyn Conley Doyle. From age 20 until her death on June 3, 1957, she lived in Santa Rosa, California, at 839 Third Street. Doyle was sister to Frank P. Doyle, founder of Sonoma County’s Exchange Bank, and Fred R. Doyle. She dedicated her life to religious pursuits, as well as civic causes, including serving on the board of directors for the Sonoma County Symphony.
