Description

A corner view of a two-story brick building occupied by the Weller-Hopkins Furniture store. The upper floor is occupied by the Sonoma Apartments.

Biographical or Historical Note

The building was constructed in 1874 for Manville Doyle, founder of the Exchange Bank, and demolished in 1961. The proprietors of Weller-Hopkins Furniture were Arthur E. Weller, Lyman Hopkins and Alvin Bettinelli.
