Biographical or Historical Note

They are playing at a protest rally against PG & E's planned atomic power plant at Bodega Bay. See Petaluma Argus Courier of May 31, 1963 for further information. Photo was used for the cover of the Lu Watters Jazz Band's 1963 LP Blues over Bodega (rcorded live at a benefit held at Earthquake McGoon's in San Francisco for The Association To Preseve Bodega Head and Harbor From PG&E's proposed Atomic Power Plant on May 28, 1963
