- Photo--black and white: Rear view of two story Potter School in Bodega. The school was established in 1873 after Sheriff Samuel Potter built it on a portion of his ranch. Classes continued until 1961. The school is also renouned as the school in the 1963 film 'The Birds' directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
