- Photo -black and white: The old swimming hole at Miller's Dairy on Mill Station Road, Atascadero Creek. Barlow's Berry pickers were boys and girls from the Children's Aid Society of San Francisco who worked picking berries at the Barlow Ranch. They lived in a tent "town" on the Barlow property, attended Sunday School locally and swan in the creek for recreation. The children shared in the proceeds from the sale of the berries.
