Description

A front and side view of the store house is visible. It was used to store fruit, wine and other goods.

Biographical or Historical Note

The store house was constructed by Mariano Vallejo in 1851-1852 with walls of brick, which originally was used as ship ballast, and wood, which was imported from Europe. The structure became to be known as the "Swiss Chalet," as it resembles such architecture.
