Biographical or Historical Note

Two story Greek Revival house, built circa 1920. House was owned for many years (and perhaps built for) Edwin Foster, long-serving Sebastopol police chief. Foster's sons were also prominent in Sebastopol life. After Foster's death, his widow moved across the street to 7231 Strout Street. Located in Morris' Addition, subdivided in 1903 by H.B. Morris, lumberman and a founder of Sebastopol.
