Biographical or Historical Note

Freestone District School was built in 1852 on the O'Farrell property on the western foot of O'Farrell Hill. Long abandoned, the school was restored in 1976. The school is now (2023) a Sonoma County Historic Landmark. In 1983 the building was Gene Walker Real Estate office. It was later converted to a single-family home.
