Biographical or Historical Note

Alexander Valley Vineyards, founded in 1975 by partners Margaret Cranford Kirkpatrick Wetzel, her husband, Harry H. Wetzel, Jr., and Russ and BJ Green occupies land once part of Cyrus Alexander's original homestead, which was purchased in 1962 and planted in grapes by the Wetzels and Greens.
