- Postcard--black and white photo- Gravenstein Apple show 1913 display of Sonoma Mission in apples. Signs made with apples: "Sebastopol Parlor No. 143" (Native Sons of the Golden West) "Sonoma--June 14, 1846" commerating Bear Flag Revolt. Background: General Albert M. Winn, a Virginian who came to California in the Gold Rush, organized the Native Sons of the Golden West in 1875 whose purpose was to celebrate the fortitude of the men and women pioneers who emigrated to California.
