Photo -black and white: Thomas E. Barlow's berry pickers from San Francisco bedded down in tents at the Barlow Ranch circa 1900. With 100's of acres of berries to be picked, the Barlows invited hundreds of children from the Children's Aid Society to camp out, pick berries and earn some spending money.
