- Photo--black and white: The Barlow Berry Ranch berry pickers--young boys from the Children's Aid Society in San Francisco came to Sebastopol in the summers, lived in tent camps and earned money picking berries. Each child has a full berry box fastened around his neck and is carrying two additional boxes.
